Update (5.30.25) Mowgli
Meet the incredible Mowgli! He's a fixed male sable panda German Shepherd with a heart of gold. This amazing dog was a stray about a year ago, and the shelter estimated his age to be around 4 years old. Mowgli has a unique personality - he isn't good with male dogs, but he's absolutely fantastic with small kids, cats, and female dogs! If you have a male dog that isn't dominant, I'm sure they'll get along wonderfully. He's great with my husband and has really attached himself to me. Although he has bad anxiety at first, he opens up incredibly fast. He's house trained and will whine to let you know he needs to go outside. He's also crate trained and does exceptionally well in it. One quirky thing about him - he loves to chew on his blankets!
Overall, Mowgli is a very sweet dog. He does have allergies, but they're manageable. I'm going to be very particular about where he goes, so I'll need vet references, a welfare check, and a guarantee that he'll go to someone who has plenty of time to exercise him and spend quality time with Mowgli. Ideally, a fenced yard would be perfect, whether it's a wooden fence, invisible fence, or wireless fence, so he can run freely. This loyal companion would thrive in a home with kids - he's so protective over them! Mowgli weighs around 60 lbs. He knows basic commands like sit, down, leave it, stay, paw, backup, and spin!
