SNAP MOBILE

SNAP Mobile and Community Pets Mobile Veterinary Clinic 

The next SNAP Mobile clinic will be on January 7, 2026. 

An application date will be posted in mid-November. Please read the limits and cost information before applying.

Hidden Oaks Dog Park, Cub Creek Park, Wilkesboro, NC. 

The Community Pets Mobile Vet Clinic will return in January, date TBA.

Limits: Maximum of two pets (2 cats, 2 dogs, or 1 of each) under 6 years old and over 4 months old by surgery date. Due to higher risk, all dogs must weigh less than 40 lbs., and we cannot take “smush face” breeds or mixes (eg. pug, Shih Tzu, bulldog, Persian cats).

Regular SNAP Registration: Friday, November 7, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Eligible* pet owners with spay/neuter appointments for their pets at Riverview Animal Hospital or Wilkes Veterinary Hospital who want to get a SNAP voucher may come to the HSOW building at Hidden Oaks Dog Park between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the first Friday of the month (except holidays) or email This email address is being protected from spambots. SOUTHERN ROOTS CRAFT FAIR

Please come see us and all the other fantastic artisans and vendors at the inaugural Southern Roots Craft Fair on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the North Wilkesboro Speedway!  $10 admission fee will be donated to the Speedway Children's Charity and includes a $5 coupon redeemable at any vendor booth for purchases of $20 or more. (Children 12 and under are free.)  The HSOW will be at Booth #17, on the Entrance side of the infield. 

  • Annual celebration of the resurrection of the famousNorth Wilkesboro Speedway
  • Outdoor craft fair featuring arts, crafts, specialty vendors, delicious food, and fun activities for kids
  • All proceeds from the $10 admission fee benefit theSpeedway Children’s Charity – our local Wilkes organization that provides food, clothing, and necessities for families in need. Every dollar stays local. It’s a GREAT cause!
