Wikes County pet owners who are 18 years old or older and who receive Medicaid or EBT will be elibigle for a spay/neuter voucher to cover the cost of surgery and pain medication. Rabies vaccines ($10) will be required for pets that do not have one, per NC state law. Other services will be available for additional cost.
Due to the risks and extra care involved, we are unable to accept dogs weighing over 40 pounds, smush-faced breed mixes (like Pugs, Pekingese, bulldogs, and Shih Tzus), and animals under 4 months or over 6 years old.
