Pearl is long-haired dilute calico, about 5 months old. She's a one of kind fur baby for a multitude of reasons. From her captivating personality to her rabbit-soft fur, she is certain to capture your heart! She’s still full of kitten energy and loves to play parkour on the furniture until she tires herself out (after five minutes!) and needs a full kitten nap to recover. What she lacks in balance, she makes up for in sweetness, as she’s a professional biscuit maker to anyone who gives her cuddles. While initially timid when meeting someone new, Pearl is quick to warm up to anyone and even loves children as long as they don’t pick her up by her tail. She’s a gentle spirit and you’re only likely to be scratched if you pretend your fingers are bugs and taunt her to pounce on them (I highly recommend). She can climb a scratching post in under two seconds but may fall off once she gets to the top!
Pearl has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Although FIV isn't easily transmitted between cats (only through deep bites), the risk means that a FIV positive cat should only be adopted into a single-cat household or with other FIV-positive cats. FIV can't be transmitted to humans or other non-feline animals, so an FIV positive cat can live safely with a dog or other pet.
